Quality Control Supervisor

Job Description

Develop, manage and review quality control processes, ensuring alignment with ISO 9001:2015; GMP Standards and other relevant standards. Oversee the establishment and management of the laboratory, including its operations, staff, and equipment. Monitor and analyse quality trends to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Review and approve product release documents to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Ensure that quality control processes are followed throughout production, from raw material inspection, on-line Quality Checks to final product testing. Manage quality control personnel, providing guidance, training, and support as needed. Coordinate with other departments to ensure quality standards are integrated into all aspects of production and product development. Develop and implement procedures for handling non-conformities, including root cause analysis and corrective actions. Prepare and present reports on quality metrics, trends, and improvements to the QA department and senior management. Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards. Ensure the laboratory adheres to all GMP and ISO 9001:2015 requirements Ensure required samples are collected and submitted to the external laboratory as per requirements Maintain audit readiness for both internal and external quality control and laboratory operations audits Create COAs and MSDS for all finished goods. Review current quality control processes and workflows, implement required changes, and ensure alignment with ISO requirements. Ensure that FG’s (Finished Goods) conform to the specifications agreed to by clients and that defects/incidences of non-conformance are reduced/eliminated Ensure the QC team understands how to identify and report on defects/deviations to standards for all approved FG product standards Arrange calibration of equipment as per calibration schedule with external service provider. Ensure that equipment calibration and monitoring is verified

Minimun Requirements

    Grade 12 or equivalent required
    Qualification at NQF level 7 BCom, BSc, BA in business administration, quality management or related field is required
    Certification in Quality Control, Total Quality Management and ISO 9001:2015 qualification is a requirement.
    Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in quality control or assurance, including at least 1-2 years in a supervisor role.
    Experience working with Total Quality Management and ISO 9001:2015 is a requirement.
    Experience in the cosmetics or related industry is an advantage
