PURPOSE OF THE JOB To provide maintenance leadership for yellow machine fleet, slag dumps and dams infrastructure. To improve on availabilities and utilisations of yellow machine fleet. To continuously improve on site materials handling activities via systems available. To ensure that material handling services and water treatment at the environmental dams are managed efficiently for the Smelter. BALANCED SCORECARD PILLARS, ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY Identify and assess level of issue-based risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc. Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.) Manage SHEQ compliance within the Process through effective use of the Toolbox Utilise the Integrated Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
4 years’ relevant C-Upper experience (internal candidates)
6 year’s relevant experience (external candidates)
Valid Driver’s License (minimum B/ Code 8)
Computer Literacy (MS Office)
ADVANTAGEOUS

Maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment
Logistics experience in a heavy industrial environment
Experience on CAT and Bell yellow machines will be advantageous
