Job Description
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to promote trust, loyalty, and long-term business growth.
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
Generate new leads through prospecting, networking, referrals, and market research.
Follow up on cold and warm leads to convert opportunities into sales.
Maintain and grow existing customer accounts.
Conduct regular customer visits and site inspections.
Provide technical product knowledge and support to customers.
Prepare, submit, and follow up on customer quotations in a timely manner.
Process customer orders and externally sourced purchase orders accurately.
Negotiate pricing and commercial terms within approved company parameters.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as set by management.
Coordinate customer requirements with production, logistics, dispatch, and operational teams.
Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments.
Gather and communicate market intelligence and customer feedback to management.
Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, and opportunities within the company CRM system.
Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates.
Continuously improve product knowledge and sales skills.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Receive and manage customer enquiries and incoming sales calls.
Minimun Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric).
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within the assigned sales territory.
Minimum of 3 years' proven sales experience within the aggregates, silica, industrial minerals, construction, mining, or manufacturing industry.
Sound understanding of aggregate, silica, and related product applications.
Strong customer relationship management and customer service skills.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Proven ability to identify new business opportunities and grow existing accounts.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
Ability to read and interpret customer requirements and specifications.
Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Experience working with CRM systems.
Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
Strong administrative, reporting, and organisational skills.
